Bavarian Cultural Cluster Officially Joins the European Meta-Cluster CR.EU, Promoted by Venetian Cluster

Munich, 16 July 2025 – The network of the European Meta-cluster CR.EU – Creativity Europe expands with the official entry of the Bavarian State Association of the Cultural and Creative Industries (BLVKK), one of Germany’s leading regional clusters in the cultural and creative sector.
The agreement was signed in Munich during a meeting of the European project FRIEND CCI, in the presence of Jacqueline Heimgärtner, Vice President of BLVKK, and Sergio Calò, Director of Venetian Cluster and coordinator of the CR.EU Meta-cluster.
“Becoming part of the CR.EU Meta-cluster means actively contributing to the building of a more integrated and collaborative cultural Europe. Bavarian creative enterprises have much to share, but also much to learn through dialogue with similar organisations in other countries,” said Jacqueline Heimgärtner.
“Bavaria brings expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial vision. Its membership strengthens an ambitious and inclusive European project aimed at building a more integrated, innovative, and competitive cultural and creative ecosystem,” added Sergio Calò.
The entry of the Bavarian cluster marks a significant step towards the goal of strengthening transnational cooperation between businesses, institutions, and regions across Europe.
CR.EU, promoted and coordinated by Venetian Cluster, is positioned as a strategic platform for cultural innovation, facilitating dialogue among the various players in the European creative ecosystem and promoting the enhancement of cultural heritage through synergy between business, research, and territory.
With this new alliance, the CR.EU Meta-cluster further consolidates its pan-European dimension, paving the way for new collaborations between Germany and other countries already involved in the initiative.
